A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday morning at the Greenville Public Library to officially open the Joanne Anderson-Bill Davidson storywalk.

Memorials, made in the names of Joanne and Bill, funded the permanent posts installed around the outside of the library. Both were long-time members of the library board, Anderson on the Materials Committee and Davidson on the Building and Grounds Committee.

Their spouses, Sara Davidson and Algren Anderson, cut the ribbon. They were surrounded by library employees, past and present library board members, and friends of the library.

Before the ribbon cutting, Library Director Jo Keillor made comments. She thanked the local Pre-K program and Kingsbury Park District for allowing them to set up temporary storywalks at Patriot’s Park and expressed her excitement for the library to have it’s own permanent storywallk.
