A new student representative on the Bond County Community Unit 2 Board of Education was seated at the recent October meeting.

Penelope Brunious, a junior, attended her first meeting after being appointed last month by the board.

In introducing herself, Penelope said she is involved with many school clubs, serving as vice president of Culture Club, and also works on the school newspaper and yearbook.

Outside of school, she is on the Marketing Committee for the Factory Theatre and volunteers at the Thrift Store.

Brunious joins senior CJ Jackson as student representatives on the school board.
