Donations are still being counted, but the second annual Miles For Marshall event at Patriot’s Park was a huge success last Saturday.
Miles For Marshall is named for fourth grader Marshall Staff from Greenville, who was diagnosed in 2024 with leukemia. Last year’s event led to the creation this year of the Marshall Kids Cancer Foundation, which supports local children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

The event featured a 5K run/walk on a Patriot’s Park trail course. A total of 292 registered for it. Last year, there were 232 participants.

Miles For Marshall was created by his mother, Christina Staff, with the help of a committee. Jeff Leidel talked to her after the 5K and she was thrilled with the turnout.
