The Bond County Community Unit 2 Board of Education voted 5-0 at its recent meeting to approved a deficit 2026-27 budget.
Randi Workman and Shannon Links were absent.
The budget is retroactive to July 31 and expires June 30 of next year.

In June, the board amended its FY16 budget to an unaudited deficit in the education fund of $53,000 for the year. A transfer of $200,000 was also made from the working cash to the transportation fund due to a deficit.
