The Bond County Health Department is celebrating 60 years of caring for the community with a special anniversary celebration on Monday, October 12, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The public is invited to join the celebration, which will feature food, family-friendly activities, health services, and an opportunity to meet the department’s staff.
Food trucks will be on hand for those wishing to purchase lunch. Visitors can also enjoy baked goods and apple cider while learning more about the many health services offered by the Bond County Health Department.
There will be plenty of fun for younger visitors, including pumpkin decorating. Children will have the opportunity to decorate a pumpkin to take home, and the first 100 children attending the celebration will receive a special gift bag filled with fun items.
The event will also feature free blood pressure checks and an opportunity for residents to visit with health department employees and learn more about the programs and services available to the community.
A small bake sale will be held during the celebration, with proceeds supporting the Hospice Foundation.
The anniversary celebration recognizes six decades of the Bond County Health Department serving local residents and promoting the health and well-being of the community.
