Sharon D. Skiff, age 59 of Keyesport, died on Saturday, May 31, 2014, in Keyesport.
Mrs. Skiff was born on May 13, 1955, in Highland, Illinois, a daughter of George and Nina (Matlock) Ridgeway. She married Ronald Skiff on November 20, 1987, in Edwardsville and he survives in Keyesport.
Also surviving is a daughter – Jamie Heilman and husband Andrew of Roxana; a son – Dallas Rexford of Belleville; 2 step-sons – Ron Skiff and Mike Skiff, both of Wood River; 12 grandchildren – Maggie and Graham Heilman, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jacob, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, and Mackenzie Rexford; Randy, Colton and Ethan Skiff and Thayde Cooper; a brother – Brad Ridgeway and wife Susie of Oklahoma City; a sister – Amy Ridgeway of Oklahoma City and a brother-in-law – Bob Skiff and friend Suzanne of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents – George and Nina Ridgeway; a son – Dwayne Rexford; and a brother – Bruce Ridgeway.
Mrs. Skiff was a bus driver and trainer at First Student in Highland and was a member of Wisetown Baptist Church. She loved being a mother and grandmother, and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Tom Rankin, officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until service time. Memorial donations in her memory are suggested to Wisetown Baptist Church and will be received at the funeral home.
