Darlene M. Mueller

Darlene M. Mueller, age 86 of New Braunfels, TX, (formerly of St. Jacob, IL) died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at New Haven in Schertz, TX.

She was born on Monday, May 14, 1928, in Troy, IL, the daughter of Harold J. and Irene (nee Giger) Schwartz.

She was a member of New Braunsels First United Methodist Church, New Braunsels, IL; former member of the St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL.

She was born and raised between Troy and St, Jacob, IL; graduated from St. Jacob Highland School. She was a secretary for Scott Air Force Base; later she married and raised her two sons. She later worked for Triad High School, Troy, IL, as a secretary. In 1990 she and her husband Emil moved to Arizona and she lived there until 2003 when she moved to New Braunsels, Texas. She was the organist and choir director for St. Jacob United Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed bowling, travelling, visiting relatives in Maryland and Texas, playing the piano and organ, singing and in her later years boating.

2nd Husband – Emil “Junior” Mueller, Jr. (married 7/30/1957) (died 7/25/1993)

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Interment will be at Keystone Cemetery in Saint Jacob, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jacob United Church of Christ.
