Sandra Sue Harnetiaux, age 79 of Greenville, passed away 7:16 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Emergency Room at Greenville Regional Hospital.
Sandra Sue, the daughter of Louis Volkmar and Minnie (Bauer) Volkmar, was born May 11, 1935 at Highland Hospital in Highland, Illinois. She grew up near Hookdale and attended the local schools.
On October 2, 1955 she was united in marriage to Norman D. Harnetiaux. They were married at the Hookdale E&R New Church. They have enjoyed 58 years together.
Sandra is survived by her husband Norman, son Mark (Debbie) Harnetiaux of Columbia, MO, daughters Terri Owensby of Colorado Springs, CO. and Renee Harnetiaux of Greenville. She was the loving grandmother of 3; Bradley Harnetiaux, Amber Harnetiaux and Jared Owensby.
She was one of 7 children who all preceded her in death; twin-sister Shirley, Mrs. Vernon Childerson, John, Bill, Lucille Siebert, Melbra Dyer and Edna VanMeter.
Funeral services for 79 year-old Saundra Sue Harnetiaux will be Sunday, July 20, at 2:00 p.m., at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Simple Room or the Pregnancy Support Center both in Greenville.
