Edward V. Petroski, age 74, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, September 9 at St. Luke’s Hospital West in Chesterfield, MO. A private funeral service for 74 year old Edward V. Petroski will be held Friday, September 12 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Bond County Humane Society.
He was born on Sunday, November 5, 1939, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Edward and Emily (nee Oravec) Petroski.
On Saturday, June 6, 1959, he married Joan Frances Petroski (nee Ottensmeier) who survives.
Mr. Petroski was born in E. St. Louis and grew up there. He lived in Caseyville, IL, and in 1974, moved to Donnellson, IL. He had owned Petroski Builders from 1964-1974 and then farmed in the Donnellson area from 1974-1986. In 1987, he started Petroski Door and Window Company, working there until 2013. In 2007, he moved to rural Greenville, IL. He enjoyed working, fishing, and being outdoors.
