Wanda L. Little, age 88, of Carlyle, passed away Friday, September 5 at her home. Funeral services for 88 year old Wanda L. Little will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9 at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle. Burial will be in McKendree Chapel Cemetery near Keyesport. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Hospital or St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
She was born March 14, 1926, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, a daughter of Roy and Bertha (Burton) Hobbs. She married Donald Green in 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Harry Little in 1962, and he survives in Carlyle.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Charles Green and wife Sharon of Edwardsville, and Dan Little and wife Angela of Belleville; a son-in-law, Ken Lannert of Carlyle; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bertha Hobbs; her first husband, Donald Green; a daughter, Donna Lannert; a grandson, Jeffrey Lannert; brothers Troy and Floyd Hobbs; and a sister, Eva Cole.
Mrs. Little had been an egg candler, then from 1987 – 2005 was the bookkeeper for Carlyle Truck Repair in Carlyle. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon, and loved camping, doll collecting, and time with her family.
