James A. Hilton, age 66, of Makanda, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 6, in Greenville Regional Hospital. Funeral services for 66 year-old James A. Hilton will be Thursday, October 9, at 1:00 p.m., at the Huffman-Harker-Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda. Friends may call Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Evergreen cemetery or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. James is the brother of Phyllis Bandy of Mulberry Grove.

James was a member of the Makanda Methodist Church and the Mulberry Grove Baptist Church. He worked for Jackson County workshop and Fayco Enterprises, INC in Vandalia.
