Frank Royer, age 75, of Pocahontas, passed away Tuesday, November 4 at his residence. Funeral services for 75 year old Frank Royer will be Friday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home in Pocahontas. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
He was born April 15, 1939, to Jake and Marie (Nee Murphy) Royer, in Taylor Springs, IL. On December 3, 1960, he married Loretta Fay Farris in Columbia, IL.
Frank loved Ford cars and was working on rebuilding his dads 1930 Model A. He worked at Ford Motor Co. when he was young. He loved to go camping. He loved his children and grandchildren and loved to tell them stories. He always wanted to help people anyway he could.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Peggy Fay (Robert) Oliver, Pocahontas, IL, Brenda Marie (Kenneth) Frerker, Pocahontas, IL, Carla Elizabeth (Bob) Burchett, Carlyle, IL; 8 grandchildren, Brandi (Jason Zappia) Oliver, Christopher (Angela Tally) Oliver, Brandon (Kelsey Wellen) Frerker, Alyssa (Alex Starek) Frerker, Jordan Frerker, Carissa (Brian) Handegan, Cassandra (Shane) Potts, Dalton (Peyton Luth) Burchett; 14 great-grandchildren, Alli Zappia, Bella Zappia, Dayton Oliver, Jacob Tally, Sophia Oliver, Autumn Handegan, LexiAnna Handegan, Jordan Potts, Hailey Potts, Cole Potts, Blaise Potts, KeeAira Potts, Jamisen Potts, Quinten Potts; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Grayson Potts, Kaydrin Potts; 1 Brother, Donald Royer; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Marie Royer; his wife, Loretta Fay Royer; 2 sisters, Kate Sams and Eileen Prosise.
