Patricia L. Ruble, age 69, of rural Keyesport, passed away Friday, December 26 at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis. Graveside funeral services for 69 year old Patricia L. Ruble will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30 at Evans Cemetery in Vandalia. Friends may call Monday, December 29 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorials are suggested to Evans Cemetery.
She was born on September 28, 1945 in Chicago, IL to George and Norma (Alyea) Berry. She married Edward Ruble on February 2, 1969 in Chicago, IL. He survives.
She is also survived by her children Donna Ruble of Keyesport, IL, Deneen (Rick) Camp of Calhoun, GA, Eric (Lisa) Ruble of Greenville, IL, Shane Ruble of Orange City, FL, Shelly (Gerald) Crisman of Keyesport, IL, and Dustin Ruble of Keyesport, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mark Ruble, who she raised, Zack Ruble, Dena Higgins, Chase Ruble, Mia Ruble, Haele Ruble, and Dalton Crisman and her great grandchildren Kaylynn Higgins and Kenley Higgins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Toby Berry, and a grandson Ethan Crisman.
She grew up in Chicago and moved to Vandalia in 1973 and then to rural Keyesport in 1975. She had worked as an X-Ray technician and then became an RN. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese until 2000.
