David A. Hutchcraft, age 52, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, February 6, in Vandalia. Funeral services for 52 year-old David A. Hutchcraft will be Wednesday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m., in the First Baptist Church in Vandalia. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Ramsey. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Saturday, May 12, 1962, in Taylorville, IL, the son of Donald Sager & Alta Fern (Newberry) Kendall. Married Vickie L. Hanley on February 01, 1980 in Ramsey, IL. David was a Lieutenant for the Federal Department of Corrections “FCI” in Greenville, IL, 8 year Army Veteran, serving in Operation Desert Storm and affiliated with the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by: Wife – Vickie Hutchcraft, Vandalia, IL; Father – Donald Sager, Charleston, IL; Mother – Alta Fern (Newberry) Kendall, Vandalia, IL

Son – Billy A. Hutchcraft, Vandalia, IL; Brothers – Pepe Kendall, Vandalia, IL and Eric Sager, Charleston, IL; Sisters – Kim (Kendall) Williamson, Dayton, OH and Linda Clapp, Indianapolis, IN; In-laws – Lulubell Johnson & James, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren – Kyle, Andrew & Anthony

Preceded in death by: Son – Michael L. Ballard in 1999.
