Dorothy M. Rohling, age 96, of rural Breese, passed away Sunday, February 1 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for 96 year old Dorothy M. Rohling will be held Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis Parish Building Fund. The Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 18, 1918 in Breese Twp, daughter of Herman and Anna M. (Schrage) Rohling.
She is survived by her sister, Alvina Strieker of Rural Breese; four nephews, Paul M. (Marcia) Strieker of Rural Breese, Darrell P. (Barb) Strieker, and David (Sharon) Nettemeier all of Aviston, and Michael (Donna) Nettemeier of Breese; a niece-in-law, Nancy Nettemeier of Aviston; she is also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Nettemeier; two brothers-in-law, Otto Nettemeier, and Ferd Strieker; and a nephew, Jim Nettemeier.
Ms. Rohling was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Parish and Altar Sodality in Aviston.
