Harold S. Collman, age 94, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, February 5 at Faith Countryside Home in Highland. Funeral services for 94 year-old Harold S. Collman will be Wednesday, February 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery with graveside military rites by VFW Post #1377. Friends may call Tuesday, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 6:30. Memorials are suggested to the Tamalco Christian Church, Masonic Lodge #560 AF & AM, or American Legion Post #282.
Harold was born February 8, 1920 in Old Ripley Township to Henry R. and Lily (Willifred) Collman. He married Eleanor Jane Landers on September 7, 1947 in Greenville, IL.
He is survived by his sons: Michael (Lisa) Collman, Bloomfield Hills, MI; Timothy (Susan) Collman, Keyesport, IL; Kevin (Paula) Collman, Hemit, CA; Ronald (Sarah) Collman, Mahomet, IL; a sister Rose Siebert, Reno, IL; 15 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant son, Stephen Collman; Brothers Charles, George, and Walter; Sisters Eva, Maude, and Violet.
He grew up in the Old Ripley area. He worked at Southwest Electric Co-op for 35 years as a lineman/foreman. He served in the United States Military from 1942-1944. He was a member of the Tamalco Christian Church.
