Ralph W. Kuhlengel

Ralph W. Kuhlengel, age 92 of Trenton, IL, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Deceased’s Residence in Trenton, IL.

He was born on Saturday, February 11, 1922, in Covington, IL, the son of Edward and Ida (nee Muenning) Kuhlengel.

On Sunday, August 25, 1946, he married Dolores L. Kuhlengel (nee Reinhardt) who survives.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Highland, IL; Trenton VFW Post 7983, Trenton, IL; International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local #837(65 Years in 2013), St. Louis, MO; Farm Bureau of Clinton County.

Mr. Kuhlengel was born in Washington County, Convington Township, Illinois. He attended St. Luke’s Lutheran School in Covington. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WWII with the USS Chaffee, 7th Fleet as a Machinist Mate, second class. He then worked for McDonnell Douglas as a tool and die maker.
Ralph kept his hand in farming near Trenton, IL.

Son – Dr. Keith R. (Barbara) Kuhlengel, Palmyra, PA
Grandchild – Adrienne K. Kuhlengel, Mountville, PA
Grandchild – Trevor K. Kuhlengel, State College, PA

He was preceded in death by:
Father – Edward Kuhlengel
Mother – Ida Kuhlengel nee Muenning
Brother – Arvil Kuhlengel
Sister – Frieda Schuette
Sister – Esther Borrenpohl

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 02, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 03, 2015, at Hope Lutheran Church in Highland, IL.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 03, 2015, at Hope Lutheran Church in Highland, IL, with Rev. Leonard Laetsch, Pastor, officiating.

Graveside Service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 03, 2015, at Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, in Stolletown, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery Fund; Hope Lutheran Church or Trenton VFW Post 7983.
