Loretta Mae Skinner, age 71, of Greenville, passed away Monday, April 20 at Helia Healthcare. Funeral services for 71 year old Loretta Mae Skinner will be Saturday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home. Burial will be in Payne Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Hurricane Creek Church of the Brethren or the Bond County Humane Society.
Loretta was born August 8, 1943 in Tamalco, IL to Fred M. and Etta (Hunter) Skinner. She never married. She is survived by her brothers Wayne (Joyce) Skinner of Pocahontas, Melvin Skinner of Bluff City, IL, and Larry Skinner of Tamalco. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Loyd Skinner.
She graduated from Mulberry Grove High School and attended secretarial school in Decatur, IL. She moved to Springfield, IL and worked as a secretary for the State of Illinois her entire working career. She moved back to Greenville about 5 years ago. She attended The Hurricane Creek Church of the Brethren as a child and was a member of The Assembly of God Church in Springfield.
