Rosemary C. Dicus, age 80, of Highland, passed away Wednesday, April 22 in Trenton. Funeral services for 80 year old Rosemary C. Dicus will be Friday, May 1 at 6:00 p.m. at Highland Community Church. Burial will be Saturday, May 2 in Bethel Cemetery in Savannah, Tennessee. Friends may call Friday from 3:00 p.m. to service time at the church. Memorials are suggested to Highland Community Church. The Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Wednesday, February 13, 1935, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Rodney and Mary Rosetta (nee Walker) Leroy.
On Friday, February 20, 1970, she married Clifford R. Dicus who passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
She was a member of Highland Community Church, Highland, IL and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Rosemary was born in Highland; she grew up in Highland, Mulberry Grove and Greenville, IL. She graduated from Highland High School in 1952. She worked at the Brown Shoe Company in Trenton and St. Louis. Rosemary was a housewife for many years. After she divorced, she worked at Highland Ready Mix for many years as a bookkeeper; Forget-Me-Knot Florist as a floral designer and did record keeping for her husband, Cliff’s Auto Body Shop. She enjoyed gardening (vegetables and flowers); wood working; cooking, and sewing. She was very active in her church at Highland Community Church and her granddaughter says, “She made The Best Cookies Ever”.
