Anthony D. “A-Train” Workman, age 21, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, May 8 at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia. Funeral services for 21 year old Anthony D. “A-Train” Workman will be Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ramsey. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, also in Ramsey. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children’s Hospital or the Rich Cade family. The Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of arrangements.
Anthony “A-Train” Workman was born September 30, 1993, in Centralia, he is the son of Scott and Sherri Workman of Vandalia and Kim and Clint Donaldson of Ramsey. Anthony was a recipient of a heart transplant when he was 16, ever since his surgery Anthony lived life to the fullest, he is a VCHS alumni, and loved to go fishing and hunting, he attended church at Ramsey Christian Church and Northside Christian Church in Vandalia.
Anthony is survived by his parents Scott and Sherri Workman of Vandalia and Kim and Clint Donaldson of Ramsey; sisters Bailee Workman of Vandalia, Payge Donaldson and Brooke Donaldson of Ramsey; brother Clay Donaldson of Ramsey; grandparents Juanita Workman of Vandalia, Ardith and Ernie Carman of Pocahontas, Connie and Rich Meyer of St. Charles, MO, Danny and Patty Donaldson of Vandalia, and Terry and Teena Yarbrough of Vandalia.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Teddy Workman and Doug Flemming.
