Burton H. Graff, age 81, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, May 16 at his home. Funeral services for 81 year old Burton H. Graff will be Wednesday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Bond County Hospice.
Burton Howard Graff, the son of I. J. (Irvin John) Graff and Vernice Mae Aspel Graff, was born on August 26, 1933 in Highland. He grew up on the Graff farm north of Greenville and helped with farming by driving the tractor and doing lawn work for his family. He has worked at Fayco in Vandalia since moving to Greenville after his parents death.
Burton is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joyce Hasenmyer, brothers Glendon Graff in 1974 and Vernon Graff in 2012.
Burton is survived by his brother Eldon J Graff of Rock Island, MI, his brother-in-law Marvin Hasenmyer who has looked after him, five nieces and nephews: Stephen (Donna) Hasenmyer of Sorento, Margaret Hasenmyer of Springfield, Ohio, Barbara (Frank) Balcer III of Flint, MI, Patty (Mark) Conway of Reynolds, IL, Laura (Curt) Duncan of Rock Island, Iowa, and 5 great nieces and nephews Jeffrery (Samantha) Hasenmyer, Ashley Hasenmyer, Caleb Conway, Tavis Conway, and Alex Duncan.
Burton is a member of the Greenville Free Methodist Church.
