Harold R. “Harry” Imming, age 74, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, June 9 at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Belleville. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for 74 year old Harold R. “Harry” Imming will be Friday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. Memorials are suggested to the American Parkinson’s Association of Greater St. Louis, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, or Camp Ondessonk Scholarship Fund.
He was born May 24, 1941 in Breese to Wendell and Clementine (Foppe) Imming: they preceded him in death.
Also proceeded in death by a brother, David Imming.
He married Marjorie Potthast September 11, 1971 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston and she survives in Trenton.
Also surviving are his children Tyson (Angela) Imming of Highland, Cameron Imming of Winfield, MO., Karena (Ryan) Beckmann of Breese, Natasha (Erik) Souter of Silver Creek, NY, and Derek Imming of Trenton.
9 grandchildren Isaac, Marion “Eden”, Abigail, Rhegan, and Conley Imming, Breden and Brody Beckmann, Gwendolyn and Loreli Souter.
A sister, Mary Jo (Ron) Sybert of Erlanger, KY
A sister-in-law, Patricia Imming of Highland and 13 Potthast brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Harry owned and operated Imming Furniture in Aviston, Trenton and Bartelso and Teen Town in Aviston. He served in the United States Air Force and Coast Guard Reserves. He was an amateur geologist.
Harry was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Trenton American Parkinson’s Association of Greater St. Louis Chapter, Clinton County Farm Bureau, past Boy Scout Master in Aviston and Den Leader in Trenton.
