Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Rogier


Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Rogier, age 79, of Greenville, passed away Friday, May 29, at Faith Countryside Homes in Highland. Graveside services for 79 year-old Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Rogier will be Saturday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m., in Gullick Cemetery in Highland. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, at 2:00 p.m., in the Highland Community Church with a reception Saturday, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., also in the church. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Tuesday, June 25, 1935, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of Herbert W. and Edna E. (nee Holmes) Nunes.

On Saturday, June 10, 1961, she married Don L. Rogier who survives.

She was a member of Highland Community Church. She was also a member of Literary Club-Greenville, IL, Women’s Group-Highland Community Church, Highland, IL.

Born in East St. Louis, IL; grew up and graduated from Eastside High School in 1952. She attended Anderson College in Anderson, IN. She had worked at Bank of America and Emerson Electric prior to her marriage. She supported her husband and family as he completed his education and taught at various universities (including University of Missouri-Rolla, SIU-E, University of South Florida, and Tampa, FL). Dr. and Mrs. Rogier lived in Greenvillle, IL for over 30 years where they operated a large farm and where Dr. Rogier was in real estate development. They moved to Highland in the early 2000’s and moved back to Greenville in 2012. Mrs. Rogier enjoyed reading, movies, and after moving to Highland, the coffee gatherings at Hardee’s.
