Max Davis


Max Davis, age 24, of Carlyle, passed away Monday, July 13 near Edwardsville. Friends of 24 year old Max Davis may call Friday, July 17 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle. Memorials are suggested to his children or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Max was born on September 24, 1990, in Maryville, Illinois, a son of Larry and Cindy (Stewart) Davis. He graduated from Carlyle High School in 2009 and worked as a laborer out of Wood River Laborers’ Local 338. Max was an outdoorsman who loved riding 4-wheelers and deer hunting. He was a hard worker and, more than anything else, loved to spend time with his two sons.

Mr. Davis is survived by his sons – Bentley and Hunter Davis of Carlyle; his parents – Larry and Cindy Davis of Shattuc; his significant other – Heather Holste of Carlyle; 4 sisters – Toni Weaver and husband Jason of Cottage Hills, Karla Goss and husband Josh of Manito, Emily Davis of Chicago, and Laura Davis of Carlyle; and his nieces and nephews – Zachary, Austin, and Trinity Weaver, and Gentry and Jordan Short.

He was preceded in death by a nephew – Jared Short.
