Lucille R. Foster, age 63, of Carlyle, passed away Sunday, August 30 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. A Mass of Christian Burial for 63 year old Lucille R. Foster will be Thursday, September 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, September 2 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Bethlehem Lutheran Preschool in Ferrin.
Lucille was born June 13, 1952 in Breese, Illinois, a daughter of Vincent and Dorothy (Deiters) Wilken. She married Larry Dean Foster on October 27, 1973 at St. Cecilia’s Church in Bartelso, and he survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Dena (Jason) Brammeier of Ferrin; a son, Chad (Corinne) Foster of Beckemeyer; her grandchildren, Adrienne, Jackson, and Daisy Brammeier, and Carson and Carly Foster; a brother, Ralph (Mary) Wilken of Bowling Green, Kentucky; a sister, Betty (Bernard) Holthaus of Carlyle; and her in-laws, Linda (Raymond) Decker of Nashville, Donald (Louann) Foster of Addieville, and Freddie (Terri) Foster, Jr. of Elmer, New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Dorothy Wilken, and her mother and father in law, Freddie and Anna Mae Foster, Sr.
Lucille was a homemaker, and enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle.
