Mark D. Kollack, age 56, of Pocahontas, passed away Tuesday, August 4 at Relais Bonne Eau [Relay Bo No] in Edwardsville. Words of remembrance for 56 year old Mark D. Kollack will be Sunday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodman of the World Hall in Highland. That service will be followed by a Celebration of Life open house until 5:00 p.m. Highland VFW and American Legion Posts will start the Words of Remembrance with Full Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Family Bible Church Building Fund, or to the family. Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland is in charge of arrangements.
He was born December 20, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Richard F. and Jean C. (nee Herring) Kollack.
On December 27, 1980 he married Rebecca Lynn Remmler who survives .
He was a member of Family Bible Church in Highland, IL.
Mark was born in St. Louis and grew up in Cahokia, IL . He was a 1977 graduate of Cahokia High School. He joined the US Navy, serving for 2 tours. He worked as a Security Guard at Bio Merieux Inc. in Hazelwood, MO. Mark was a Civil War enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, and sports (football and baseball) . He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was “On Mission” with Family Bible Church and a faithful servant of his Lord.
