Robert E. Foehner, age 82, of south of Greenville, passed away Thursday, August 13, in his home. Funeral services for 82 year-old Robert E. Foehner will be Monday, August 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Bond County Hospice.
Robert Earl Foehner, the son of Emil Harry Foehner and Leona (Warnecke) Foehner, was born on March 11, 1933 in Jamestown. He attended the Pocahontas Schools and graduated from Breese High School. Robert moved from Jamestown to his farm south of Greenville in 1965 and has been a lifelong dairy farmer. They raised their family on their farm south of Greenville and Robert was an accomplished wood worker making many wooden toys.
Robert and Hilda Mae Howard were united in marriage on October 23, 1954 in Centralia and enjoyed over 48 years together before her death on May 6, 2003. They are the parents of four children who survive: Janice A. Foehner of Springfield, Brenda (Dale) Miller of Smithboro, Robert J. (Cheryl) Foehner of rural Keyesport, Karen K. (Randy) Chancellor of Mulberry Grove, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Robert is also survived by his two sisters: Betty (John) Plocher of Highland and Lola Jean (Charles) Miller of Keyesport.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Hilda, and his infant brother Jimmy Foehner.
Robert was a faithful member of the Greenville First Apostolic Church.
