Edith D. Fletcher age 64 of Royal Lakes, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL at 8:27 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015.
Funeral services for 64 year old Edith Delores Fletcher will be Saturday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. in Mayfield, Kentucky. Friends may call Friday, September 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bible Way House of Prayer in Royal Lake. For those who desire memorials in Edith’s memory may be made to her family at the service or at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.
Edith Delores Galbreath, the daughter of Jim Franklin Galbreath, and Betty Jean Sherrill Galbreath, was born on August 8, 1951 in Mayfield, Kentucky. Edith grew up there and attended Dunbar High School. Edith worked at the Green Acres Nursing Facility in Mayfield as a nursing assistant and later for Cardinal Hill Nursing Home and Greenville Regional Hospital here in Greenville.
Edith and Andrew G. Fletcher Sr. were united in marriage and Edith is survived by her two sons David T. Galbreath of Rex, Georgia, Andrew G. “C. J.” Fletcher Jr. of Royal Lakes, five grandchildren including: Dallas T. Galbreath, Austin Anderson, Aubrey Anderson, Quarris Galbreath, Santana Starks and three great-grandchildren. Edith is also survived by 14 siblings including: Beverly Duffy, Cindy Galbreath, Lannette Weatherspoon, Pamela Galbreath, Deborah Galbreath, Rocky Jackson, LaShea Stubblefield, Howard Galbreath, Jimmy Galbreath, Marty Galbreath, Kip Powell, Marcus Galbreath, Ron Galbreath, and Chad Galbreath, and a host of nieces nephews and cousins. Edith is preceded in death by her son Dennis (Mary ) Galbreath, her parents Jim and Betty Galbreath, her husband Andrew G. Fletcher Sr., sister Joyce Hudspeth, and her brother Larry Gene Jackson.
