Stephan M. Lancey, age 55 of Highland, IL, died Friday, September 25, 2015, at his residence in Highland, IL.
He was born October 29, 1959, in East Saint Louis, IL, the son of Terry M. and Virginia L. (nee Chappell) Lancey.
He was a former menber of Breese Knights of Columbus .
Mr. Lancey was born at East Saint Louis, IL. He & his family moved to Highland, IL in 1968. Stephan graduated from Highland High in 1977. While in high school he excelled at Wrestling, Football & Track. He also performed in many high school stage productions. He attended SIU-Edwardsville. He had worked as a System Analyst at Artex International in Highland, Boeing and other smaller companies in St. Louis. He changed careers and became a Loan Specialist at a bank in Breese, IL. Perhaps Stephan was best know as a Broadcaster, especially sports, on the former WINU and later WGEL radio stations. Stepan was a sports fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals and the Saint Louis Rams (former season ticket holder)

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Christopher W. Hill officiating.
Private interment will be at Highland City Cemetery at a later date.
