Carol J. Prusa

Carol J. Prusa, age 73, of Highland, passed away Monday, November 9 at her residence. Funeral services for 73 year old Carol J. Prusa will be Friday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.

She was born August 11, 1942, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Johanna (nee VonHatten) Linenfielser.

On October 03, 1964, she married Jerry A. Prusa who survives.

She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Joseph Hospital Perpetual Adoration; Wednesday Women’s Golf League at Oak Brook; Madison County Election Judge.

Carol was born and grew up in Highland. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Paul High School and she was a Candy Striper at St. Joseph Hospital. She attended Nurse Training in Quincy, IL and in Ohio. She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Baker in Highland and Dr. Keithler in Edwardsville. She retired in 2004, and worked part-time at Koch Cleaners. She loved to play golf and had a large garden of indoor plants. She enjoyed reading and dancing. She played piano when she was younger.

She was preceded in death by:
