Emma B. Dasenbrock, age 88, of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, November 8 at her home. Funeral services for 88 year old Emma B. Dasenbrock will be Thursday, November 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Jamestown. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Jamestown Cemetery Association.
She was born on Sunday, February 20, 1927, in East St Louis, IL, the daughter of Rufus E. and Barbara A. (nee Kunkel) Musgrave.
On Wednesday, November 13, 1946, she married Thomas R. Dasenbrock nee who passed away on Thursday, May 03, 2012.
She was a member of Saint Paul United Church of Christ and Postal Clerk Union.
Emma was born in East Saint Louis; grew up in Caseyville, IL. After school, she worked for several different places. She worked at General America Insurance Company for 10 to 15 years. She worked as a clerk for U.S. Postal Service at E. St. Louis and St. Louis for 24 years and retired in the mid 90’s. She moved to Jamestown, IL in 1972. She and her husband were married for over 65 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and Bunco.
