Floyd Cain, 81, of Centralia passed away Monday, November 9, 2015, at Centralia Manor Nursing Home.
Floyd was born on February 23, 1934, and was a co-owner of Clinton County Real Estate and Insurance in Carlyle, Illinois. Later in life, Floyd owned and operated Carlyle Distributing. Mr. Cain served in the United States Army during W.W. II. Floyd’s interests were golf and reading, and he was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. Over the years, Floyd was an avid fan of the University of Illinois athletic program and he loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mr. Cain is survived by 3 children: a son, Brent Cain and wife Joan of Carlinville; and 2 daughters, Julie Inman of St. Louis and Robyn DeMoulin and husband Dick of Venice, FL; grandchildren: Scott Cain of Carlinville, Lyndsey Stayton and husband Derek of Carlinville, Kimberly Rossini-Herron and husband Jerrod of Gillespie, Brooke Inman and Alec Inman of St. Louis, Tiffany McNeill of Tampa, FL and Erika and Nicole DeMoulin of St. Louis; and his great-grandchildren, Jack, Luke, and Sam Herron, Sloane Stayton, and Molly and Konner McNeill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
