Marie E. Peppers, age 81 of Smithboro, passed away at 9:03 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Missouri Baptist Hospital.
In keeping with her wishes the family will have a private graveside burial at their convenience. Memorials in Marie’s memory may be made to her family at Donnell-Wiegand.
Marie Ethel Wilson, the daughter of Earnest Wilson and Gladys Specard was born in Greenu[p, Illinois. Following her mothers death Marie was raised by John Irvan Kollar and Dovie Gertrude Goodin Kollar as her parents. Marie was raised on a farm near Tamalco and attended the Columbus one room school and Mulberry Grove High School. After her marriage Marie was a full time mother raising their family of seven.
Marie and Frank Henry Peppers were unted in marriage on October 22, 1966 in Mt. Vernon, IL. and are the parents of their 7 children, five of whom survive: Forrest (Jamie) Peppers of Kansas City, KS, Susie Kennedy of Greenville, Julie Cunningham of Vandalia, Jane (Larry) Koonce of Greenville, with whom Marie has lived these past two years, Trudy (Roddy) Finley of Smithboro, a step son Frank (Kim) Milos, 18 grandchildren: Shane Swofford, Josh Swofford, Kyle Swofford, Nathan Peppers, Madison Peppers, James (Abbie) Flood, Cody Brown, Tabitha Kennedy, Joey Kennedy, Tiffany Cunningham, Michael (Casey) Krummel, Sara Krummel, Bobby Coates, Brandon Coates, Alexis Milos, Makenzie Milos, Larry Milos, Tony Milos, and 14 grandchildren including: Jordyn, MO, Noah, Josalene, Zane, Trinity, Douglas, Tyson, Michael, Zack, Able, and Uriah. Marie is also survived by her sister Hazel Vohlken of Greenville.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank on December 26, 2001, a sister in infancy, and two sons: Mark Swofford and John Peppers.
Marie was a member of the Church of Truth in Smithboro, Illinois.
