Roland W. Bellm, age 90 of Highland, IL, died Friday, November 06, 2015, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL.
He was born September 21, 1925, in Highland, IL, the son of Eugene and Irene (nee Knebel) Bellm.
On September 03, 1949, he married Lydia Marie Buescher who survives .
He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Counsel 1580 Highland – Former Holy Name Society member – Former member of Edwardsville Moose – Madison County Farm Bureau – Former member of the Teamsters.
Roland was born at Highland, IL and grew up on a farm near Pierron. He attended Pierron Catholic School. He farmed with until 1968. He then worked at Wick Organ Co. delivering organs. He had also driven a truck for Aviston Lumber, Truck Center’s, and hauled grain. In his retirement he worked from City of Highland. He Volunteered and drove a van for St. Joseph Hospital. He enjoyed wood working (cabinets) and collected toy tractors. He and his wife traveled extensively, and he liked yard work, gardening, playing Pinochle and went dancing every other week. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of his attention and he loved them very much.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 09, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL., with Father Pat G. Jakel officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL.
