Susan Kay Huddlestun Jones, age 53 of Killeen, TX, formerly of Greenville, passed away suddenly at her son’s home in Kileen at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015.
Memorial funeral services will be held here at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 with Darryl Bolen officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. Tuesday until service time. Interment will be in Montrose Cemetery. Susan Kay Shy, the daughter of Burniss Thomas Shy and Virginia Ann Lee Shy, was born on April 2, 1962 in Greenville. She grew up here and attended the Greenville Schools. Susy worked at Demoulin Brothers for a time, for Terry Neer and for Brenda Davis with the Ambulance service, and as a receptionist at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home. She later worked for a time in North Carolina. She has made her home with her son and daughter-in-law Tommy Lee (Martha) Huddlestun in Killeen, Texas for the past five years.
Susan is survived by her son Tommy and wife Martha Rapian Huddlestun, two grandchildren: Dustin Huddlestun age 10, Summer Huddleston age 5, and three sisters: Mary (Dean) Bishop of Litchfield, IL, Jodi (Dennis) Wise of Greenville, and Elizabeth (Charles) Ernst of Litchfield.
Susy is preceded in death by her son Dustin Wayne Huddlestun age 3, parents, grandparents Carter Lee and Mary Hawley Lee, sister Kathy (Scott) Mellick, and brother Carter Lee (Tammie) Shy.
Susy attended the Greenville First Christian Church.
