Wilma Darlene Moungo, age 61 of Keyesport, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 in Rock Island, Illinois at the hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville, with Rev. Bruce Sasse officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Wilma Darlene, the daughter of Elva and Wilma Rayfield Asberry, was born July 28, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up in in Antonia, Missouri, attended the local schools and graduated from Fox High School.
Wilma and Kenneth Moungo were united in marriage on November 2, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a school bus driver in St. Louis and moved to Greenville in 2000 where she also was a bus driver for the Bond County Community Unit #2 schools. She retired in 2009. Mrs. Moungo loved spending time with her grandchildren, camping and doing things outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Moungo and their 2 children: Terril “TJ” Moungo and his wife Steffany of Mohall, North Dakota and Lachelle Moungo of Keyesport, Illinois. Also surviving is her father Elva Asberry of Herculaneum, Missouri and siblings: Wayne Asberry and wife Gina of Breese, IL, Sandra Burk and husband Randy of Hesperia, California and Karen Lucas and husband Brent of Barnhart, Missouri. She was the loving grandmother of Terril, Jr. and Tate.
