Gerald E. “Jerry” Kampwerth, age 73 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL.
He was born September 09, 1942, in Breese, IL, the son of John and Clara (nee Schumacher) Kampwerth.
On October 12, 1984, he married Agnes Martha Junker neeVosholler who survives.
He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. He was also a member of United Paperworkers Int. Union Local @1912.
Gerald was born in Breese and grew up on the family farm east of Highland. He attended St. Paul School. He started working at Alton Box Board in 1963, retiring in 2005 as fork lift operator. In retirement he enjoyed caring for his home and large lot. He loved playing cards and bingo. He was a good-hearted man. In his youth he enjoyed dancing.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL., with Father Pat G. Jakel officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL.
