Geralyn “Lynn” Tutza, 62, of Keyesport passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville.
Mrs.Tutza was born on April 16, 1953, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, a daughter of Arthur and Esther (Eisemann) Daenzer. She married John Tutza, Sr. on December 15, 1990 in Belleville and he survives in Keyesport.
In an addition to her husband, she is also survived by 4 children – Angie Smyth and husband Jody of Keyesport, Dan Korte and wife Susan of Keyesport, Brad Korte and fiancé Kaitlin Nordmeyer of Belleville and John Tutza, Jr. and fiancé Alexus Schuster of Keyesport; 6 Grandchildren – Alex Korte, Erika Korte, Holly Smyth, Addisyn Tutza, John “Trey” Tutza, III and Beckett Korte; 2 brothers – Bill Daenzer of Belleville and James Daenzer and wife Marty of Fairview Heights; numerous nieces and nephews; and special cousin Sue Eisemann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers – David Daenzer and Bob Daenzer; 2 sisters – Mary Ann Freivogel and Rosie Pierce.
Geralyn worked in Food Services for Belleville Townships Schools, District 201. She loved to play bingo and to bowl. She was an avid sports fan, especially the St. Louis Rams and Cardinals. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Tamalco Christian Church with Reverend Bill Bays officiating. Visitation will be at Zieren Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning at Tamalco Christian Church from 9:00 a.m. to the time of services.
