Sheri Ann Brashear Potts, age 59 of Greenville, passed away at 8:22 A.M. Wednesday February 1, 2023 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Dr. Ward Sussenbach officiating. Interment will follow in Maxey Cemetery. For those who desire memorials in Sheri’s memory may be made to the Maxey Cemetery or to The Mt. Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Tuesday until service time.
Sheri Ann Brashear, the daughter of Roy Eldon Brashear and Shirley Mae File Brashear, was born on June 16, 1963 in Highland. She grew up in Greenville attending the public schools graduating from BCCU # 2 with the class of 1981. Sheri worked at Reaban’s for several years in her youth and for Basler’s in Highland for over 30 years.
Sheri and Ronald Potts Jr. were united in marriage on July 7, 2001 at the Mt. Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church and were later divorced. Sheri is survived by their daughter Amber Mae Potts of Greenville, her Aunts Charolette Lieser, Helen File, Uncle Glen and Katie File, and sister-in-law Pam Brashear.
Sheri is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Shirley Brashear, her brother Gary Brashear, uncles Willard Lieser, Loyd File Jr., and Dale File, and aunts Lenora File and Maxine File.
Sheri was a Girl Scout Mother and a member of the Greenville First Christian Church.
