Public Affairs

This Sunday on WGEL’s Public Affairs program, we’ll discuss the SMART Center, located at the corner of Second and Main in Greenville. Greenville University has been renovating that space for some time, working closely with the city of Greenville, and they’ll show off the new space in a public open house next Saturday, February 29. Tune in Sunday as we talk with Executive Director of Greenville Smart Initiatives Breck Nelson and Danara Moore, Strategic Director of Design and a faculty member in the GU Business School. They’ll tell us what’s in store for the open house and we’ll talk in-depth about what the Smart Center is all about. That’s Public Affairs, with a spotlight on the Greenville SMART Center…this Sunday right after the 12:05 Bond County Area News on WGEL.

The Core Community program is just getting started in Bond County with a planned launch date of April 1. Core Community reaches out to those living in poverty with the goal of making a positive impact in their lives. This Sunday on WGEL’s Public Affairs, we’ll talk all about Core Community with program representatives Carl Brannon and Tom Morgan. They’ll fill us in on the program’s fundraising campaign and how individuals, businesses, and groups can help in other ways, too. Join us for Public Affairs, this and every Sunday, right after the 12:05 Bond County Area News on WGEL.
