Today’s WGEL Salute to Service is to Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Doll Army Foreign Area Officer

Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Doll is an Army Foreign Area Officer specializing in the Middle East and North Africa, and son of Jean and Tom Doll.  Tim joined the Army in 1998 as an M1A1 Tank Crewman and later received his commission from Kansas State University in 2003.  He has completed 3 Combat Tours, 2 in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan as well as assignments at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut Lebanon and Kuwait City Kuwait.  Lt Col Doll currently serves at the Defense Cooperation Agency in Washington, DC. Tim has received three Bronze Star Medals and various other awards and decorations and is a certified Arabic linguist.  Tim and his wife Mary have two children (Anne 12 and Issac 6) and live in Washington DC.
