The Greenville Lady Comets basketball team finished their season strong with a 19-7 record. Coach Paul Thies told us about some of the season’s highlights.
“We had a great season this year,” Thies told WGEL. “It all comes down from just working hard in the off season from last year. We finished 19-7. We had two girls that finished their career with over a thousand points, that would be Maria and Kassidy. In addition to that, Afton Nelson and Kassidy both qualified to go all the way to the state tournament in three-point shooting, and then Afton even made it to the final-four round and finished third. So it’s just been a great year, a lot of good wins, and a lot of great accomplishments along the way.”
Thies also said that over the weekend, Kassidy Alderman was named to the fourth All State Team and Maria Reinhard received an honorable mention.
