Illinois Basketball Coaches Association recognized two Lady Comets this weekend. Coach Paul Thies told us more about the honor of being named to the all state team.
“Over the weekend, up at the state tournament, the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association, they meet and get together and nominate and vote players for various levels of all tournament team,” Thies told WGEL. “Kassidy Alderman came in as a fourth team all state selection, as she did last year. Maria Reinhardt also came in and got some recognition as honorable mention all-stater. So it was a good weekend for those two girls.”
Thies said both girls worked hard this season and the recognition was well deserved.
