Registration for the Bond County Real Stars Baseball League’s 2014 season is now underway.
“We’re a baseball league that services any kid with disabilities,” Brian McElroy, with the Real Stars, told WGEL. “It can be anywhere from hearing impaired to severely impaired, in a wheelchair. It doesn’t matter what the disability is; we’ll take them. Its ages five to 21, but we do make exceptions to that. We don’t exclude anybody.”
The Real Stars season kicks off on Saturday, August 16. All games are played at the Jaycee Park ball fields in Greenville. Volunteers for the program are also needed.
