Comets Move to 5-0 with Hard Fought Win Over Roxana Shells

For the first time this season the Greenville Comets Football team trailed an opponent in the second half. The Comets and the Roxana Shells fought tooth and nail Friday night in a very exciting football game. The Comets trailed in the 3rd quarter 21-26 before Brady Simpson returned a kick-off for 85 yards and a touchdown to take the lead. On the Shells next possession Austin Lawrence came up with a goal line interception on the Comets own four yard line.

The Comets followed that up with a one play touchdown pass for 96 yards from Tyler Hutchinson to Brady Simpson. Simpson had three touchdowns on Friday as the Comets rallied to win 42-34. The Comets are now 5-0 and eligible for the playoffs.

The Pana Panthers will come to town this Friday and with another win the Comets will guarantee another playoff berth.
