Comets Soccer lost 1-0 in the Regional Championship match against East-Alton Wood River Saturday night. The Comets had 5 shots on goal to the Oilers 3 shots on goal, but could not put one past the keeper. Matthew James recorded two saves in the match while in goal.
The Comets finished their season with a record of 14-6-1, but won the South Central Conference with a record of 9-0.
