Strong Second Half Defense Leads to Walk Away Victory for Comets

The Comets beat Pana Friday night in the Homecoming football game 55-21. The Comets and Pana Panthers exchanged touchdowns in the first half, but the Comets defense pitched a shutout in the second half coming up with two takeaways in the third quarter.

The Comet offense kept up the pressure as well scoring 34 unanswered points Friday night. The Comets are now 6-0 and are going back to the playoffs for the 13th straight season. Next up for the boys in blue is Staunton Friday night at 7PM in Staunton. Last season the Staunton Bulldogs were the Class 2A second place team in the state.
