Comets Looking Forward To Upcoming Basketball Season

The Greenville Comets basketball team is getting set to open their season Monday, December 1st. Comets head coach Todd Cantrill told WGEL he’s excited about the upcoming season.

“We’ve got a ton of seniors back and the guys are really excited about basketball now,” Cantrill told WGEL. “We’ve been practicing for quite a while now and we still get another week of practice. We open on December 1 down in Carlyle and we’re excited and ready to go.”

The Comets first game will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday, December 1 as part of the Kaskaskian Tournament in Carlyle. You’ll be able to hear that game live on WGEL 101.7 FM and streaming online at
