Greenville Native Named Pitching Coach For Cardinals Minor League Team

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced their 2015 minor league coaching assignments. One of the names on the list is that of Greenville native and former Greenville Comet Cale Johnson.

“Johnson graduated from GHS in 2005 and later was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals,” Greenville High School Athletic Director Joe Alstat told WGEL. “He has been named as the pitching coach for the Cardinals’ Gulf Coast minor league team in Florida. Cale will report to Jupiter for Spring Training in March. It’s quite an accomplishment.”

Congratulations to Cale Johnson of Greenville for being named pitching coach for the St. Louis Cardinals minor league Gulf Coast team.
