Parkland Loses Championship At Buzzer

With a last second shot, Johnson County, of Kansas, defeated Parkland Community College Cobras women’s basketball team 66-64 Saturday night for the 2015 NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball championship. The game snapped a 35 game winning streak for the Cobras, stretching back to their season opener.

Greenville native and former Lady Comet standout Kassidy Alderman enjoyed a very successful freshman season with the Cobras in Champaign.

Congratulations to Kassidy on a successful first season and to the Cobras for a record-setting 35-and-2 season and for ranking second in the nation!
